Well it has been a long time since I have posted on here that it has. So I have a rant that I would like to share with you all.
I watch a new web site called digg.com is it awesome and her recently I have been following that story's about people being tasered. So here is the thing Police think that since a taser is not lethal that it is OK to use it on people See this all started when a UCLA student was tasered for not being able to show his ID. He was handcuffed and on the ground when police tasered him and told him to stand up. However when you have that many volts of electricity put through you. It is really hard to stand up. So instead of being smart they tasered him again. The students kept asking the officers to stop and for the name and badge numbers. The cops did not stop or even obey the lawful request. One of the officers even threatened to taser a student if they did not stop asking for there badge number or name. Next a few days later a man who was under control and posing no threat to any one and cops constantly tasered him over and over. The one that has recently pushed me over the edged. Was that a 6th grader by a school officer. The student did not even have a weapon so instead of trying to hold the kid back her tasered him 2 times in stead of trying other methods. Here is a question is our police force actually needing tasers. It seams like it is a convenient way to inflict pain to the victim cops are given a reason to be trigger happy. What do you think do you think police officer should be given this weapons if so why? If not why?
