The other day I was watching the movie “Kingdom of Heaven;” it is an interesting movie. One of the main things that annoyed me was the templars in the movie. They loved to kill the Muslims and they treated them like dirt. They constantly want to go to war with them. When they were talking about it in front of the king, they said, “God wills it.” It is so amazing what has been done according to the “will of God”: the slaughtering of people because of a different faith during the crusades was the “will of God”. The civil war was the “will of God”. Some even says that 9/11 was “Gods will.” So many things have been attributed to “Gods will” that is completely contrary to the nature of God that the Christians teach. However, when it suits there purpose it becomes Gods will. So here is the question, what is really Gods will?
How does know the will of God? It is kind of amazing that the will of God becomes some thing that some one wants to do. It is kind of a way for Christian to justify their actions. So here is a question: is it Gods will for evil stuff to happen? And if so how does that explain the verse that states, “no evil can come from God.” (Job 34:12) Is it possible that the will of God is for humanity to live in harmony with one another? Could God’s will be a world where mankind not longer kills or hurts one another. Is it possible that this is what he wants instead of death and pain? I think that saying it is God’s will done so we have someone to blame when bad things happen. Could it be that we call it God’s will to make us feel less guilty about our own evil actions. Maybe we trick ourselves into thinking that since it was God who told us to do it then we are really not that guilty or responsible. However, you are responsible for your actions always, not matter what the situation; you always have a choice. Sometimes our actions done in the name of God can benefit people, and sometimes they hurt people as well.
So does God cause war and other harmful, evil actions? No, he does not. Does he cause evil to happen to people? No, he does not. Shit happens; get over it. God made man with a free will man, therefore chose to allow evil in to the world. When man allowed evil in the world. When man allowed evil in the world it caused all men to have a evil nature, causing evil things to happen to good people. (People who help mankind and do not harm) Mankind says that it is “God’s will” to justify ourselves and our horrible deeds. Any one who says killing is “Gods will” needs to be shot. The will of God is for mankind to live in peace and harmony, not slaughter each other.
They say that all love is blind
They say that it can heal all wounds
But love has made our wounds
It damned us to be ever distant
For love is blind
I loved holding you in my arms
Talking with you long hours into the night
I listened to you when you spoke
But did not notice what you were telling me
For love is blind
I loved how we needed no words to understand each other
The nights I spent with my head on your breast
Your actions spoke louder than your words
But my love, I didn’t see them
For love is blind
I love the way your personality shone
The great fire in your eyes
You were screaming; something was wrong
But the love I had for they did not let me see
For love is blind
It is my mistake, you see
That we to made what should not be
I stabbed your heart and twisted the knife
The young girl I loved, I hurt your soul
For love is blind, my love
Please, realize I did not mean to cause pain
I meant everything I said
Every time we were together I will never forget
It was my love that hurt you and I am sorry
For love is blind
I am sorry I drove you away
And made it where you could not stay
It was love that damn us to this hell
Please, forgive me for what I have done
And maybe love will bring the sun
For love is blind, the one I loved

It is February, the month that I first asked a beautiful young lady to be my girlfriend. Her name Shea Thompson. We met in during the begining of the 2006 fall semester. We dated for almost six month, untill I broke up with her. Our relationship was filled with fun adventures and long talks. We were in love; however, there were things wrong with both of us that we destined to damn our relationship. As I look back, I see so many warning sign of us not working out. I did not see them at the time for I did not want anything to ruin our bliss. When we first started out we were focused on ministering to each other, getting to know that person deeper nothing physical. However, that changed. In the end, we were very physical with one another. As we both look back, we both agree that it was negitave. Furthermore, we realized that we ignored the negative because we were having to much fun and we loved one another too much to bring it up, afraid that we would lose the other. The problems got bigger with the things we left unsaid out of fear. In the end, it was what destroyed us. Looking back I realized that we should have waited before we started dating. Something that I have recently learned is that patience is defiantly worth it, and that even though it might hurt you need to be completely real with whomever you’re with. It will destroy you if you do not talk openly with one another. It is very easy for love to be blind; however, you don’t have to be. It is hard and scary, however it is completely worth it in the end.
